Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of RankHouse. Please read them carefully: by creating an account or using the Service you agree to be bound by them, and by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Agreement and eligibility
These Terms are a binding agreement between you and RankHouse (“RankHouse”, “we”, “us”). “You” means the person using the Service and, if you use it on behalf of a company or other organisation, that organisation as well. You confirm that you have the authority to bind it.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is designed for business and professional use.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not create an account or use the Service. Where a separate written agreement between you and RankHouse covers the Service, that agreement prevails over these Terms to the extent they conflict.
The Service
RankHouse is an AI-driven SEO platform. Depending on your plan it lets you:
- Crawl and audit your website for technical, content and performance issues.
- Research keywords, topics and competitors.
- Build content plans and generate articles, product and category copy, metadata and images.
- Publish and update content on websites you connect, such as WordPress sites and Shopify stores.
- Connect Google Search Console, Google Analytics and other services to measure results.
- Monitor your visibility in search engines and AI assistants, and track backlinks and rankings.
- Produce performance reports.
The Service relies on third-party data sources, crawlers and AI models. Features, limits and availability vary by plan and may change over time as described in the section on availability and changes.
Your account
- You must provide accurate, current information when you register and keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your password and any API keys confidential, and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately at rankhouse.ai@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorised use.
- An account is for one person. Where your plan allows you to add team members or client accounts, you are responsible for the people you add and for their compliance with these Terms.
- If you sign in with Google, your use of that sign-in is also subject to Google’s terms.
- We may require you to verify your email address or identity before enabling certain features.
Plans, credits and payment
Plans
Paid access is sold as a subscription billed monthly or annually. Prices, included credits and features are shown at the point of purchase. Prices exclude taxes unless stated otherwise; you are responsible for any VAT, sales tax or similar charges.
The RankHouse Shopify app
The RankHouse app on the Shopify App Store is a publishing tool. It does not sell, show or use RankHouse plans or credits, and installing or using it never results in a charge from us.
Credits
- Features such as content generation, keyword research and visibility scans consume credits. The credit cost of a job is shown in the app or at the point of purchase.
- Credits included in a subscription are allocated for each billing period. Unless stated otherwise when you buy, unused subscription credits do not roll over to the next period.
- Credits have no cash value and are non-transferable and non-refundable except as required by law.
- If a job fails for reasons within our control, we will use reasonable efforts to re-run it or restore the credits it consumed.
Billing
- Payments are processed by Stripe. By providing a payment method you authorise us to charge it for the plan you chose.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. If a renewal payment fails, we may retry it and, if it continues to fail, suspend or downgrade your account.
- We may change prices. Any change to a subscription price takes effect from the next renewal after we have given you at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the app.
Free and promotional access
We may offer free, trial or promotional access at our discretion. Such access may have reduced limits, may be changed or withdrawn at any time, and converts to paid access only if you choose a plan.
Cancellation, refunds and account deletion
- You can cancel a subscription at any time from Plan and billing on your account page, which opens your Stripe billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep access until then.
- Fees are non-refundable, and no refunds or credits are given for partial periods, unused credits or downgrades, except where the law requires or where we decide otherwise in our sole discretion.
- If you are a consumer with a statutory right to withdraw from a contract, that right applies as the law provides. By asking us to start providing the Service immediately, you acknowledge that the right to withdraw is lost once performance has begun, to the extent the law allows.
- You can permanently delete your account from Danger zone on your account page. Deletion removes your data as described in our Privacy Policy and cannot be undone. Deleting your account does not by itself cancel an active subscription; cancel it first or contact support.
Your content and data
“Input” means everything you provide to the Service, including brand details, keywords, instructions, edits and content from your websites and connected services. “Output” means content the Service generates for you.
- You retain all rights you hold in your Input. As between you and RankHouse, you own the Output, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
- You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, process, transmit, display and create derivative works of your Input and Output as necessary to provide, secure and improve the Service and to comply with law. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for backups and records we must keep.
- You are responsible for your Input and for the websites you connect. You confirm that you have the rights needed to provide the Input and to connect, crawl and publish to those websites.
- Because AI models produce similar results for similar requests, Output may not be unique, and we cannot guarantee that similar content will not be generated for other users.
- Publishing is your action. Content is sent to your websites only when you, or an automation you configured, instruct the Service to publish it.
- The Service is not an archive. Keep your own copies of content you care about.
- We may remove or disable content that violates these Terms or the law.
AI-generated content: important notices
Please read
Output is generated by AI systems. It may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or biased, and it may unintentionally resemble content owned by others. Review and verify Output before you rely on it or publish it.
- You are responsible for everything you publish, including compliance with advertising, consumer protection, defamation, intellectual property and data protection laws, and with the guidelines of search engines and the platforms you publish to.
- Output is not legal, financial, medical or other professional advice, and audit findings are recommendations, not guarantees.
- Search engines and AI assistants change how they rank and cite content. We do not guarantee any ranking, traffic, visibility, revenue or other result from using the Service.
Connected services and third-party platforms
- When you connect a third-party service, you authorise the Service to access it with the permissions you grant, for example read-only access to Google Search Console or Google Analytics, or publishing access to your CMS. We request only the permissions a feature needs.
- You must have the right to connect the account or website you connect. Your use of each third-party service remains subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
- You can disconnect a service at any time from your account page; features that depend on it will stop working.
- We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy or conduct of third-party services, or for changes they make that affect the Service.
- Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to, and not to allow anyone else to:
- Use the Service to create or publish content that is unlawful, infringing, defamatory, deceptive, harassing, hateful or harmful, or that violates the rights of others.
- Connect, crawl or publish to websites or accounts you are not authorised to manage.
- Upload malware, send spam, or use the Service to phish, defraud or impersonate anyone.
- Access the Service by automated means other than the interfaces we provide, or in a way that circumvents plan limits, credit accounting or security measures.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code, prompts or models behind the Service, except where the law permits this despite this clause.
- Systematically extract Output or data from the Service to build a competing product or to train a machine-learning model.
- Resell, sublicense or white-label the Service without a written agreement with us.
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure.
We may investigate suspected violations and suspend or terminate accounts involved in them.
Our intellectual property and feedback
The Service, including its software, design, prompts, report templates, documentation and trademarks, is owned by RankHouse and its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your internal business purposes during your subscription. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
If you send us ideas, suggestions or other feedback, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use it without obligation to you.
Availability, changes and beta features
- We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages and factors beyond our control can cause downtime.
- Many features run as background jobs that depend on external crawlers, data providers and AI models. Jobs may take time to complete, may be queued, and may occasionally fail.
- We may add, change or remove features, and adjust limits and credit costs, to improve the Service or reflect changes in our costs and dependencies. We will give reasonable notice of changes that materially reduce the core functionality of your plan.
- Features labelled beta, preview or experimental are provided as-is, may change or be withdrawn without notice, and are excluded from any service commitments.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and all Output are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy and quiet enjoyment.
We do not warrant that the Service will meet your requirements, that Output will be accurate, original or fit for publication, or that any use of the Service will produce a particular ranking, traffic or business result.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Neither RankHouse nor its officers, employees, suppliers or licensors will be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunities, arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms, however caused and under any theory of liability.
- Our total liability for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service or these Terms is limited to the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim and one hundred euros (EUR 100).
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.
Indemnification
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless RankHouse and its officers, employees and agents from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or relating to your Input, the content you publish, the websites and accounts you connect, your use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms or applicable law.
Data protection
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these Terms.
- Where the Service processes personal data contained in your Input or in the services you connect, such as analytics about visitors to your website, we do so as your processor and on your instructions. A data processing agreement is available on request.
- You are responsible for complying with data protection law in relation to your own websites, visitors and customers, including any notices or consents required for the analytics and tracking tools you use.
Suspension and termination
- You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from your account page.
- We may suspend or terminate your access, with notice where practicable, if you breach these Terms, if payment is overdue, if your use creates legal or security risk for us or others, or if we are required to do so by law. We may also discontinue the Service with at least 30 days’ notice.
- On termination your licence to use the Service ends and we will delete your data as described in our Privacy Policy. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including those on your content, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law and general terms, will survive.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last changed. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will notify you by email or with a notice in the app at least 14 days before it takes effect. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service and cancel your subscription before that date; continued use after it means you accept the changes.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or the Service, are governed by the laws of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer, the courts of Lahore have exclusive jurisdiction.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at rankhouse.ai@gmail.com so that we can try to resolve the matter informally. Nothing in this section deprives you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
